Take A Break!

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. – Jeremiah 31:25

Hello Readers. Happy Autumn or Fall to you! How is everyone? I decided after my birthday to take some time to rest and unplug. I have missed writing so I am back. Writing is my way to express myself and I am wired to write. We live in a time when we are surrounded and saturated 24/7 with news and social media posts about the upcoming election, COVID-19, Systemic Racism and much more. I am a Christian woman who is not immune to effects of 2020. I know none of us have been immune to the effects of 2020. All of us have been impacted by the effects of 2020. I want to encourage each of us to rest as we prepare to finish 2020 well. All of us need to be encouraged to cross the finish line of 2020 full of hope.

In today’s focus verse, we are reminded that God has everything we need including rest. When are are weary or do not feel like we cannot go on, God is with each and every one of us. As King David said in Psalm 23:1, “The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” Even on our worst day, we have everything we need because we have God. I know this is easier said than done. I want to encourage each of us to press in and look to our Heavenly Father now and always as he exceeds our needs and wants while he loves us full of grace and mercy. May we look at the finished work at Calvary and be reminded, Jesus is risen and undefeated. May the Holy Spirit stir up and awaken the parts of our lives and souls that have been silenced by defeat, grief, anger, hopelessness and more. God bless you!

This beautiful worship song will bless your socks off. Feel free to add you favorite worship song in the comments.
