Dating has changed in the midst of COVID-19. Please use wisdom during this time. As exciting it would be to meet someone new, we cannot dine at a restaurant, watch a movie, go bowling or visit a museum. We have to adhere to social distancing and shelter in place orders. This is all being done for everyone’s safety. COVOD-19 does not stop the natural progression of your new relationship. How can you keep your relationship great and adhere to social distancing? There are several ways but I am going to discuss a few below. Please do not hesitate to add you suggestions in the comments below. We can also continue the conversation on Instagram. Happy Dating!

  1. Video Chatting: Video chatting is so cool because you can see your significant other and genuinely connect. You can see emotions, look at facial reactions and more. The key is to make sure you are completely present. Your room should be well lit. You should using other devices and having other conversations. Video chatting is a great way to date and connect.
  2. Phone Calls: There is nothing like hearing the voice of your significant other. This is a great way to connect beyond text messaging. You can laugh, joke, cry and more as a couple. You would apply the same rules to a phone call as you would to video chatting. You want to make sure that you giving your full attention to your significant other.
  3. Text Messages: Have you ever received a text message that made you light up? Give your significant other the gift of texting with intention. Sometimes we need to make a better effort to tell the people around us they mean a lot to us. If you need a lot of characters to express yourself, you should make a phone or video call.
  4. Video and Voice messages: Are you short on time but want to connect with your significant other? You can send a video or voice message. You can record these messages and set them up to hit the inbox of your significant other at an appointed time. The investment of time in making these messages will make your relationship stronger.
