“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”-Psalm 34:18
You are a mighty and powerful God. There is no person, place or thing that can match you. Father you know us better than we know ourselves. You are a caring and loving God. God forgive us of our sins. Forgive us of our shortcomings. Forgive for being disobedient, procrastinating or doing anything else that does not line up with you. As it says in your word “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” We thank you for Jesus who came and died willingly for our sins. Help us to never take the gifts of righteousness, eternal life and an abundant life for granted. Thank you for being a God full of so much including grace and mercy. Your word says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
God, I ask right now to help all who are brokenhearted right now. I pray that you would come close to them and give them peace, strength, love and more than what they need. Help us during so much pain, sorrow, confusion, chaos, disappointment, anger and more to call on your name. God when we are crushed in spirit, it can be a debilitating and overwhelming. When we have those moments when all we are eating our tears and pain, help us to cry out to you. Help us to bold enough to say, “Daddy, help me” or just cry in your presence. Help us to question you. Help us to show you how we feel and to remove the mask. You are a God who will never forsake us on our worst day. Even when we have no one else supporting or loving us, we have you.
So right now, I declare in the name of Jesus that you will bind up our wounds. You will come swiftly near us. You will give us more than you best. You will love us in a way that will heal the pain and sorrow in due season. Help us to praise you through the pain and tears. Help us to keep our eyes focused on you. We love you. We thank you. We honor you.
In the matchless name of our risen savior, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
