“I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” -Psalm 9:1
Have you ever had a moment in your life where you had to take a moment to praise God? I know we thank God daily as a heart of worship. We should be because we were made to worship and we love him. I am talking about those pivotal moments in your life when God did the miraculous and astounded and surprised you? It could be on your wedding day as you were reminded of God’s restoration power? It could be giving or accepting an engagement ring after telling God you will never love again? You were promotion into job that you did not apply for or were not qualified for? You bought a house despite having a terrible credit report? Your doctor gave you a clean bill of health overriding a previous bad report? You may be standing in faith for an answered prayer and want to praise in advance? The life of your loved one was spared? Whatever it is, I want you take a praise break and thank God.
You may have to go to private room, your car or maybe you don’t care if people see you but tell God thank you. As I am writing this blog, I am reminded of how God showed up too many times for me to count at 11:59 pm of a midnight problem. I am in tears and so thankful to God for who he is to us despite our shortcomings. Even during storms in our lives, we must continue to offer up a sacrifice of thanksgiving to God. As today’s scripture says, we praise God with our entire heart. Take a moment to thank God for who he is and what he has done for you. You don’t need anyone else to be joyful for you. I am joyful for you. I am joyful for myself. Hebrews 13:15 says, “Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.” God bless you!
