Today marks the final day of the third quarter of 2019. We marching toward finishing our 2019 goals with excellence. We are not perfect and there is nothing wrong with having a moment to reset or exhale. I want to encourage you that no matter where you are on your journey, please continue to keep going. I am also encouraging myself. I recently had a few moments over the last couple of weeks where I did not realize I had made a lot of progress since January. I tried to wear something that no longer fit me. I was still in the mindset of January. I was trying make room for my new identity but was holding on to the old one.

What about you? Are you holding on to people or things that are not a part of your new identity? It could be a thought that is not true about you or someone else. It could be lowering your goals to accommodate your old identity. It could be cultivating a friendship or relationship that is not fruitful and has not been fruitful for a long time. It is now the final day of September and we have changed. We must shed our old identity from January. We may not be where we want to be but we have come a long way. Our lives are so much better than they were on January 1st.

I know we have endured bumps and bruises to this point but we are still here. I know we have endured heartache and pain but we are still here. We have had moments of doubt and uncertainty but with tears streaming down our faces, we continued to move.   We are still standing determined and strong. We are not going to bow down to who we used to be. We will one step at a time accomplish our goals. We are going to walk in the freedom of our new identity. We are going to finish 2019 strong and full of joy. Let us continue to push forward full of joy, hope, peace and much more. Here is to us finishing 2019 on a joyful and peaceful note.
