“We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near; people tell of your wonderful deeds.“-Psalm 75:1
Worship is always the best response to everything in your life. We will experience mountaintop, valley and in between moments in our lives. Whatever is happening, we need to worship God. When we worship God, it revitalizes our whole being. We remember that we are the anointed, undefeated and fearless children of God. Are you feeling less than those things? You must remember that our feelings do not determine our lot in life. 2 Timothy 1:7 says: “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” If God did not give it to you, it is not part of you.
When we worship God, we are showing God our love and adoration for him. We are also showing God our faith and trust in him. Can you worship God with tears streaming down your eyes and being full of doubt and confusion? Yes, you can and should because God knows and loves us unconditionally. So, take a moment right now and worship God. You may worship him in song. You may worship him in prayer, reading his word, walking in your God ordained calling depending on him and more. Psalm 103:1 says, “Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.” Let this be our daily posture no matter what storms try to take us out.
We serve a God who has never been defeated and is full of more than what we need. If we need love, favor, healing, money, forgiveness, peace, rest, patience, understanding, grace and the endless goes on, God has it and is available to give it to us. I keep coming across Psalm 23 today. I am going to end my blog with Psalm 23 and feel free to comment in the comments section. May God meet you in special way as you mediate on his word and worship him. God bless you!
Psalm 23 The Message (MSG)
A David Psalm
1-3 God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.
4 Even when the way goes through Death Valley I’m not afraid when you walk at my side. Your trusty shepherd’s crook makes me feel secure.
5 You serve me a six- course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing.
6 Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.
