“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”-Psalm 139:13-14
You are not a mistake! God was intentional in his creation of you. Your looks, personality, last name, talents, gifts and so much more were done intentionally. When we are declared to be an accident or mistake, it is not true. God knew about each of us before the foundations of the world. You are not a mistake. God is a unique creator. He does not make duplicates. Each person is unique on purpose. There will never be another person like you. You are an original made by the author and finisher of our faith.
Right now, you may be looking at you what or who is around you. You may be surrounded by a lot of negative or stormy circumstances or people. You may even be surrounded with a lot of joyful circumstances or people. Whatever the case maybe, you may still have doubts about yourself and your destiny. Romans 8:31 says, “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us,who can be against us?” There is no person, place or thing that can oppose God’s destiny for our lives. We could have moments of doubts and unbelief which is normal. When those moments occur, we need to pray. There is not perfect way to pray. Pour out your heart to God as led and he will meet you in a special way.
Right now, take a moment and repeat the following phrase to yourself: “I am not a mistake. God has great things in store for my future.” It is okay to have some doubts and questions. In addition to prayer, read and listen to the Word of God daily. You must mediate on things that remind you daily that you are here on purpose. Also, you should have people you trust uphold you in prayer and love. Having a loving community makes all the difference in having a full and abundant life. Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.” Our plans are limited by what we see in front of us. God knows what is best for us. Let us trust him for all things including our purpose and plans for our lives. You are not a mistake!
