“10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”-Isaiah 41:10
As we the end the first month of 2019, how are you feeling? Have you experienced being broken? It may have been your heart, spirit, a promise, an illusion, your finances, bones in your body and much more. Can I remind you that God loves to heal and restore things that are broken. The healing and restoration process is not a patch up job. It is done in a way that will leave you speechless. When we experience being broken, it is an opportunity for God to show up once again on our behalf. Isaiah 61:7 says, “7 Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.”
I am going to be honest. Being broken is painful and sometimes devastating. You could be in a state of pain and more for a while. My encouragement to you is to keep your eyes on God. Hebrews 12:2 says, “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” Jesus endured the cross so that we could have a real and authentic relationship with God. A real relationship that allows us any second of our lives to be broken in his presence without judgement or condemnation. We do not have to wear a mask around God. He can see beyond a mask and look into our heart to see we are broken. He love us no matter what and that includes when we are broken.
When we overcome our being broken, God is glorified. When we speak about the goodness of God, it is not from a book but from first hand experience. Who’s testimony would you trust, someone who experienced and witnessed first hand something or the person who went online to research what a first hand witness should feel? You would trust the first hand account witness. Allow God to heal and patch up your wounds so that he can be glorified through the very situation that was supposed to take you out. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
You are too valuable to this world and the Kingdom of God to allow a moment of being broken to prevent you from becoming all God has called you to be. God can use anyone and any situation to glorify himself. You are better and stronger than your biggest heartache. God can redeem and make anything right if we allow him. God loves us too much to allow us to live below his abundant life standard. May God mend every wound and strengthen you to be used in the Kingdom of God. May God bless you!
