A Daily Heart of Thanksgiving

1 I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.-Psalm 9:1

God is so good! The holidays season may not be a happy time for everyone.  Whether you are in a storm, coming out of a storm or are about to enter one, I want to encourage you to find something to be thankful about. Ask God to open your heart and mind to see things from His point on view. It maybe the job, house, marriage, relationship, friendship, family member, talent and more that you complain about by the hour.

God loves us even when we are not loving toward him, ourselves or other people. I want to encourage you to find at least one thing to be thankful for daily and write it down. I would like to encourage you to do this daily. It maybe the hardest thing you have every done but it will bring healing and peace to your soul eventually. You do not have to gloss over the grieving period but you can make this apart of your grieving process.

What is something or someone you are thankful for? If you are thankful for a person, I would encourage you to tell that person. It is okay to have seasons where are feeling down and out but remember Psalm 54:17 says, “no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you…” It is okay to recognize things that are challenging but as a Christian, nothing can prosper against you.

I will be praying that every person who reads this article will feel encouraged and reminded by God about their identity of being victorious.
