“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. “- Mark 11:24 (NIV)
God is a prayer answering God. His timing may not be our timing and He may not grant us our desire but He does answer our prayer. I wrote an article about prayer and you can read it by clicking here. Today, I want to focus on the mindset of walking in our answer. Sometimes, we can wait until the answer before we walking in the answer. We should walk in our answer. In other words, you do not have to see it before you believe it. I want to encourage you to have a Hebrews 11 mindset. In Hebrews 11, the author talks about our heroes and heroins of faith. These men and women stood in faith despite what the people and circumstances surrounding them said. Hebrews 11:1-2(NIV) says.” Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.”
God may not grant what we think is the desire of our heart but He knows what is best for us. He may be saying no to a job because He is about to say yes to owning the business. He may say wait a few years or He may say stop procrastinating and do it now. Procrastination is a form of disobedience. Sometimes, we may be believing God for not enough and He has to push us beyond our imagination. 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT) says “9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
May God surprise you with His answers to your prayer and may you bless those around you by praying for them.
