“16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”-John 3:16
Jesus died for all of our past, present and future sins. Jesus died in advance for all of our failures, mistakes, shortcomings and much more. Jesus died for all of our sins. As Christians and disciples of Christ, we can walk in the gift of an abundant and redeemed life. In Psalm 139: 16 it says, “16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” That means before you made your first mishap, mistake or shortcoming, Jesus died in advance to make sure you would be in right standing with God always.
I remember a time in my life when I felt like I had to earn redemption from God. I thought if I was nice to everyone, attended Sunday School and church every week, gave my tithes and prayed once in a while, I was going to be redeemed. Then over time, after a lot of soul-searching and prayer, I realized that I did not have to earn a gift from God. Can you imagine trying to give someone a gift and the person tried to pay you back?
Whatever is going on in your life, you do not have to live a life of condemnation. You are redeemed. You are free to live a more abundant life full of the grace and favor of God. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” I have enclosed four songs below to encourage you . Have a blessed day!
